Breastfeeding is a beautiful connection between a mother and her baby. If your breastfeeding experience is not going as you had hoped, help from a board certified lactation consultant can help you work out any problems you are having, and give you support when you need it.
If you need assistance with managing breastfeeding, I can offer you many years of experience, along with an accepting attitude and soft manner.
I am a board certified lactation consultant. I will come to your home where the environment is most comfortable. During our appointment I will assess your situation, as well as:
- observe a feeding and take a history of your situation
- weigh your baby with a pediatric scale before and after breastfeeding
- discuss my suggestions with you
- provide a written care plan
- provide information sheets
- send a letter to your pediatrician with your approval
- provide a bill that has the information your insurance company needs for reimbursement (or bill Aetna directly)
- provide follow up care and information
I wanted to take the time to thank you for all the help and support this year as we embarked on our breastfeeding journey. You have been a great resource of information and I want to thank you for that. I can’t believe we are very close to the 6 month breastfeeding mark. Aiden is doing great, he is almost 18 pounds and has started solids already. We will continue our breastfeeding journey as long as we can and see how it goes. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Beginning as a volunteer breastfeeding counselor in 2000, I continued in the field and became an internationally board certified lactation consultant in 2006. Working in private practice since 2007 has been very rewarding. I am currently a part time lactation consultant at UMass Memorial Hospital where I work in the NICU and Maternity units. I have experience with families of preterm and late preterm babies. I help moms go from exclusively pumping to initiating breastfeeding their preemies! I am the mother of three growing children.
My goal is to support you at whatever stage you are at in your role as a caregiver.
Work With Me

I will return your phone call within one day and talk to you about what your concerns are and set up an appointment if necessary. Please check with your insurance for reimbursement for a home visit with an IBCLC. Many insurance companies will reimburse for a home visit by an IBCLC, but it’s best to call first. I will leave you with a bill that will have all the information needed by an insurance company to reimburse you. If you prefer, I can submit your claim to your insurance company for you. I am available to make home visits weekdays, some weekday evenings and weekends.
Ahmee has turned into a little chub chub! She is 15.6 pounds! Not only is she back on the chart, she’s in the 75th percentile! She’s in the 98th percentile for length. I haven’t supplemented for a while now. In fact, she won’t take a bottle from me! We’ve made it! Thank you so much for your help! We would not be breastfeeding still if it weren’t for you.
